Viviane Zahra

Interior Architect & Designer

I trained as an interior architect in Vienna and have spent the past decade working across private residences, boutique hospitality, and select commercial commissions throughout Europe and the Middle East. My practice is built around one conviction: that the spaces we inhabit shape us as much as we shape them.

My approach is rooted in restraint and materiality — an interest in what happens when things are pared back to only what is essential. I work closely with craftspeople, architects, and makers who share a belief in quality over novelty. The result is interiors that age gracefully, feel personal, and resist the pull of trend.

Clients come to me when they want a space that is unmistakably theirs — not a showroom, not a mood board realised, but a place with its own quiet atmosphere and considered character. I am based in Vienna and take on projects across Europe and the Middle East.

How I Work

Each engagement begins with a detailed conversation — in person where possible — about how you live, what you love, and what you'd like to change. From there, I develop a design concept that is presented in mood, material, and plan form before a single specification is written.

I take on a small number of projects at any one time. This is deliberate. It means every project receives the full weight of my attention, from initial sketches through to the placing of the last object.

I am most interested in the space between objects — what remains when everything unnecessary has been taken away.
